Top business schools except Wharton, Stern and Ross

I will be applying for Business: Accounting. I am applying to the three schools mentioned in the title and Cornell AEM. But my stats aren't quite there so I am looking for undergraduate business programs that are a step below but are still very good and have good reputations.

Any suggestions???

Seeing that you have Michigan’s Ross on your list, you don’t seem to mind the flyover states.

So Notre Dame’s Mendoza and WashU’s Olin may be decent backups for you, but they’re more like two or three steps below the schools on your list.

And if you go there, know that you’ll probably end up in accounting or insurance instead of i-banking or consulting.

Top i-banking and consulting firms do not recruit analysts there because ND & WUSTL are not “target” schools. And you can forget about more selective positions in private equity, hedge funds, venture capital, etc.

Considering the OP is wanting to major in accounting, I would assume that is not an issue.

The business rankings are a good place to start a list.

Wake Forest has quite a good accounting program and is less selective than the colleges mentioned so far.
