What are the best csu’s for business majors? Accounting to be exact?
All 23 CSUs offer decent business programs with credible degrees. Which is best is really subjective. Which is best for you will depend more on your qualifications and other interests than some abstract list. So, what are your stats and what are you looking for in your college experience?
Is there a particular concentration you want within business? That might limit the options a little bit.
Cal Poly SLO is probably at the top of the list. Other good choices include: SDSU, Fullerton, Long Beach, Northridge, SJSU, SFSU and probably a couple more in No Cal that aren’t on my radar.
As long as your grades are good you can get a good job (Big 4 or national firm) coming out many CSUs.
I also find some “regional bias” in hiring, so if you want to work in the Bay Area you’ll likely be better off at SJSU than Fullerton or Long Beach. Not to imply you can’t go to SDSU and land a job in San Francisco.
I am a business major emphasis in accounting.
From San Diego
Major gpa: 4.0
Transfer Gpa: 3.6
If you want to stay in San Diego than I’d shoot for SDSU.
SLO grads get recruited to both So Cal & No Cal firms. The other schools tend to hire better in their local areas.
I agree - SDSU would be a great target - especially if you are a ‘local’ applicant. I’d encourage you to apply to several campuses - Assuming you can maintain that GPA, How about CSULB, CSU Fullerton, CP SLO and perhaps TAG UCR, Maybe even throw an ap at UCI.
Good luck
