If I stay in the US, I will probably get in to universities such as Washington, UIUC, Wisconsin-Madison, Georgia Tech, or University of Texas at Austin.

I'm considering going to Canadian universities such as Toronto, Waterloo for engineering, and UBC.

I'm looking forward to transfer to better US schools after my freshmen year.

I prefer to live and work in the US after my post-secondary education.

Do these Canadian schools have good reputations in the US?
How good are they compared to the US schools I've mentioned?
Is it hard to transfer from Canadian schools to good US schools?

Most people believe that U of T, Queens, and McGill are the top 3 universities in Canada, and McGill is the "Harvard". Waterloo is very good too though for math/science.

well i have the same question~and i figured instead of starting a new thread we can just recycle the ones that have been posted.
how is this not a good thread?

^ The OP calls Georgia Tech “average”, and then the thread devolves into arguments over rankings that have been rehashed hundreds of times already around here.

well it’s unfortunate that people have digressed/cited irrelevant/unreliable data.
nevertheless, i’m only looking for answers to the three questions the OP posted at the end of his post.
