We're looking for good colleges with good DIII women's basketball programs. We've looked at Wash U and some other smaller schools in the Mid-West. Any other suggestions for Mid-west, South or East Coast?

Look at the UAA schools (includes Wash U). Also schools like Wesleyan in the NESCAC.

Go to www.d3hoops.com . They list the top 25 men's and women's programs from last year.

I would look a little further back than just last year. You should try going back about ten years and see which schools regularly make it to the post season.

definitely check out the nescac schools- arguably one of the best academic/athletic conferences in the country:
williams, amherst, wesleyan, trinity, conn college, bates, bowdoin, colby, middlebury, tufts, hamilton

U of Roch. & Hobart / William Smith are pretty good. Is your D being recruited by anyone?

The Polar Bears are the only team in the country (of 423 in Division III) to make five consecutive NCAA Elite 8 appearances, and six consecutive Sweet 16's. With their defeat of Brandeis in the final home game of the 2006 season, Bowdoin set the New England basketball record with their 70th consecutive home victory, breaking the mark formerly held by the University of Connecticut women's team.
