I want to know if I should send my sat or act scores..
I did mediocre on the sat, and am retaking the act, and it looks like my act score is going to be a lot better. I do have a choice of taking the sat in january w/o being able to see how I did..
What should I do?
Is it ok to send just the ACT scores?

If you did better on the ACT just send your ACT scores. There might be a few colleges in the country that prefer the SAT, but the overwhelming majority have no preference.

Either is fine at all top colleges but before not sending something check the college’s rules because it may require you to send both scores.

All colleges accept either the SAT or ACT. There is no preference. And drusba is correct; check the schools for what you MUST report.

I have a 2230 on my sat. (800 math 740 reading 690 writing 9/12 essay)
My ACT was 34 (35 english, 36 math, 33 reading 32 science 9/12 essay)
I retook the ACT and I think I did better…
If I get a 35 or 36 composite, should I just not send my SAT?

^ Both scores are excellent enough, send both
