Is there any such university in existence?! :D

No. We have too big a population.

probably some of the smaller liberal arts schools

Have you considered that you really wouldn't enjoy being at a college with little or no Indian representation? As much as you might think that you don't need any Indians, it can feel very isolating being the only person from your cultural context on campus.

In addition; if you're worrying about whether you'll be drowned out in the crowd at colleges where large numbers of Indians apply / if you think that applying to colleges with few Indians would give you an advantage in admissions; well those aren't really valid reasons for your college choice. Apply to colleges that you feel you'd like and succeed in; also make sure to apply to a few safeties and keep a few alternatives outside the US (In India or any other country (JUB, NUS are common alternative colleges US applicants apply to; although they aren't very easy to get into)

That being said; small LACs as mentioned would have low numbers of Indians; 'course they would have Indian Americans.

nice words of wisdom K!

Personally, I would enjoy being the only Indian on campus.

ajay: Asians are still URM at few colleges (Amherst for example), but I doubt that would help us Int'ls. Smaller LACs, like Grinnlle(sp?) and lafaytte(sp?) are full of Indians (both 1.5 and 2nd gen). There are few LACs with almost nil Asian population, but they aren't top colleges in any way. Much better Idea would be to give up Indian citizenship and take citizenship of Burma/Bhutan or any other BBD (Bund Barabar Desh).

its grinnell and lafayette abhi..

are you sure you'd enjoy being the ONLY indian on the whole campus?

1 person in every six :p. Good Luck with finding such a top university. :D

Space: Sure :) There's a "why i want to leave the bloody motherland thread". I got banned after posting in that lol
