<p>Kinda bored and was wondering which computer games would be fun. I just got a new macbook pro and wanted to see what games are out there that are recommended by CCers.</p>
<p>Not sure if this runs on a Mac, but Age of Empires II will forever be my favorite PC game of all time.</p>

<li><p>If you’re going to get Portal and/or Team Fortress 2 (from franticpizza’s list), buy something called The Orange Box and get another great game, Half-Life 2. (Portal’s puzzle, HL2’s a shooter, Team Fortress is…shooter I think)</p></li>
<li><p>The Sims 2 or The Sims 3 (I’d say 2’s better) </p></li>
<li><p>Warcraft series (and Starcraft) for Real-Time Strategy (not to be confused with MMORPG, World of Warcraft, which is excellent but charges monthly)</p></li>
<li><p>Halo 1 and 2 (shooters, yes they’re for computers too)</p></li>
<li><p>Fable (the 2004 one; RPG)</p></li>
<li><p>Bioshock (the first one, second doesn’t run on Mac; shooter)</p></li>
</ul>
<p>^These are based on recommendations. I’m not a gamer.</p>
<p>Also, my favorite computer game of all time is Morrowind, but it’s not on the Mac, blah… so yeah.</p>

<p>^Maplestory is fun, but it gets slightly boring for leveling.
I played hockey manager instead of football manager, and that was quite fun as well.</p>
