Top Computer Games

Starcraft
Rise of Nations
Sims (original + expansions)
Sims 2
RollerCoaster Tycoon
RollerCoaster Tycoon 2
Counter-Strike

I don’t play PC games anymore (except for the occasional return to some of these games for nostalgia), but when I did these were the best.

RollerCoaster Tycoon!

RoonSkape!!

SIMS 3. I am absolutely obsessed.

One time I saw some kids playing the Sims (2?) at a party. I vaguely remember a flaming poo? :)

Sid Meyer’s Alpha Centauri
Conflict: Middle East Political Simulator (made for DOS about 20 years ago, but still really great)
A bunch of interactive fiction/text adventure games

I also like a lot of small freeware games and other DOS games.

We love SIM because we can kill the people anyway we want. LMAO

I think Age of Empire, Counter Strike, and Halo are the best.
Oh I also love Unreal Tournament 2004

Starcraft II- the most anticipated game this whole decade.

When starcraft I came out, it was good. So good that an entire generation could call it their pastime. It was extrodinarily balanced and very very very addictive online. Starcraft did to RTS what Halo CE did to first person shooter.

Starcraft II is expected to be superb with excellent graphics and gameplay.

anyone else play Runescape lawlz?

HALO!!!

And Fable: The Lost Chapters. LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth is pretty interesting too.

Before you play Buffoonscape, you should also try:

NeverRest
Guilt Wars
MapleStupid
Perfect Hurt
Crappelz (wasted too much of my life on this one)
Warcrapper Online
And let’s not forget… World of Warcrack

Yeah bro, retired vet here. Quit like two years ago, man. Level 87.

Yeah boiii

^ Played RS through the free quests, then got bored. There’s no community there, everyone is either 4th grade kids or Asian gold-farmers.

Awesome Games:

Civ II!!! Can’t be beat.

Outpost 2: Best RTS.

The Hobbit: The Video Game (By Sierra): Best third-person platformer.

Zoo Tycoon (The Original): Great Sim Game.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 1: BEST Sim Game.

Roller Coaster Tycoon 2: Best theme-park builder. (Gameplay not up to #1 standards, but awesome scenery tools for building copies of your favorite park).

Civil War Generals II: At least for a history buff like me.

The Battle For Middle Earth: Best Movie Replay RTS.

The Battle For Middle Earth II: Nice movie themed RTS, better gameplay than #1 but less epic.

Battle Dawn: Best MMOG.

Note the conspicuous absence of Runescape, Evony, and Farmville (Farmville-∞ in case my mentioning it here raised its status any. Evony also-∞, try not to associate that infinity symbol with anything…).

I played RS 2nd through 5th grade. Now that I look back on it, it was pretty cool back then, bonded with people IRL through it, and actually learned some business skills when I conducted large clan-based trade agreements.

To play RS now though, would be to torture yourself with intense passion.

You guys have to understand that there are software for the Mac that make any Windows game playable, so that is not an issue.

However, I digress, I’m out of touch with the current gaming community.

Anyways, the only moderately new game I know of is Splinter Cell: Conviction. It’s pretty good. Actually, it’s probably best stealth shooter I know.

You could also try Borderlands, shooter/rpg.
