Top LAC recognition vs. HYPS

Does Undergraduate really matter if you going on to get an MBA, JD, or MPP? I'm looking at liberal arts colleges like Whitman, Pomona, Claremont Mckenna among others. However, I'm a little worried that if i get my degree's from these places and go to Washington D.C/wherever people will have no idea what they are and dismiss them as unsignificant...

This being said, i know that Law Schools, and other places respect these schools. So would people question my degree if i were to live somewhere other then the west coast where their reputation would be not as strong AFTER I got my masters? In all honesty, I really don't care about going to a college that is super-recognized (Harvard, Yale), but I do want to get undergrad at one of the best schools..?

On the flipside, will going to a school like Georgetown or Stanford (if i get in aha :/ ) be any better than going to Pomona?

i think pomona is just as hard to get into as georgetown, if you are instate cali and not in the dc area (unless you want IR). i live in DC and know that pomona is a very good school. you could always go to stanford law or business which is going to give you more than enough name recognition and it is on the west coast and will probably know alot about pomona if you are that worried. o, and most people in the world will not know any good schools besides harvard, pricenton, and yale in the US so if you want to wow everyone, go there. if not, pomona is fine, and it is grad school that matters more because a poly sci degree from harvard and a law degree from alabama isnt as good as a poly sci degree from bamma and a law degree ffrom harvard.
