I'm a freshman at Pitt planning on transferring next fall to a liberal arts college. I have a decent academic record, but I'm having trouble finding appropriate colleges to apply to that match my chances. During my senior year, I applied to reach schools and safety schools without applying to enough match schools that I would be happy at. I was deferred at UChicago and Northwestern and then waitlisted/rejected at my other top choices. I ended up applying to Pitt in April just to have a decent school to go to, and it is definitely not the right fit for me. It's too big/urban/loud, and I don't feel very academically stimulated. I would love to be at a school with a better pre-law program and opportunities for professional growth (internships, guest lectures, summer programs)

HS GPA: 3.8
SAT: 2090 (700 CR, 700 Math, 690 CW)

College GPA: 3.69 (Anticipated)
Calc 1: B
Intro to Soc: A
Social Theory: A
Physical Anthro: A

Calc 1 here is built for the large engineering/pre-med student population at Pitt, and I struggled with adapting to the teaching style of math in college. Will my college GPA matter much to the schools I apply to? One B has brought it down significantly, but it should be brought up to 3.85 if I earn As next semester.

I am considering Wellesley, Boston College, and possibly Georgetown. I entered Pitt as a sociology major, but I am planning on changing to Political Science. What other colleges should I consider applying to? And would taking the SAT again be worth it? Thanks!
