Top LACs and Grad School

I am now an undergraduate at a top-10 LAC. I would like to get a MA in some sort of environmental studies at a top program like Duke or Yale. What sort of GPA will they want? Does coming from a top LAC give me much of advantage in the applicant pool?

Feel free to answer these questions for grad school in general. Is coming from a top-10 LAC much of an advantage?

I'm no expert, but I've heard that top LACs are particularly good at getting their students into the best grad schools (but not as good at getting their students great jobs).

There may be some advantage depending upon the name recognition of your college at the graduate school and a history of recent graduates in that grad program. High ranking LAC's get a lot of their students admitted to grad school because they were fine students with good credentials prior to going to college and they remain fine students with good credentials when they graduate. In my opinion the only time I have seen one's undergraduate college name significantly bolster their admission has been when the student is from HYP, at least in the social sciences.
