I have absolutely NO knowledge of the liberal art colleges so was just wondering which would be the top in either (or even both) of those fields? I know of Harvey Mudd but I would like schools in the east, preferably more north

Most LAC’s don’t have chemical engineering. You have to go to a university for that. The Claremont consortium is like a university where HM is the college of engineering. Check out Bucknell University and Lehigh University.

If you have absolutley NO desire to go to a big Eng School, like GA Tech, Purdue, UW-Mad, you can check out smaller Eng schools, like Harvey Mudd, or Rose Hulman. I think ricegal is right, and I can’t think of a LAC for Chem E, although I have seen Chem as a major at LACs. Just keep in mind Chem is not ChemE, and I can see 5 “Similar Threads” listed that discuss this.

Threads that discuss LACs for Chem E or Chem? Or the difference between ChemE and Chem? Because, yes, I know the difference…

Lehigh University and Lafayette College are both LACs with top ABET accredited Chem Eng programs.

I would definitely consider UDel no matter what.
