Is there any way i can find out stats about what percentage of students from particular schools get in to the top med schools.

You can, most schools post that information on their websites somewhere.

But really, you have to take it with a grain of salt. It doesn't mean too much, not from the things I've read and the people I've talked to. To start with, several top schools don't even let certain people apply to med schools, because they won't get admitted. That way, the school has a high % of students that are admitted to top med schools, because they didn't let the weaker candidates apply.

Also, it doesn't really matter where you go to school. Med schools don't really care whether you went to Harvard or your public state school. As long as you have a high GPA, good MCATs, the required courses, and something extra like research or internships at hospitals, you will make it into med school.

How do you define "top med school"?
Do you know what they call the person who graduates last in his inferior med school class?

DOCTOR!
