I'm looking to go to the best medical school I can. I have a few in mind but I would like to know about more and some of the websites just dont cut it. I'm a junior in high school. I got a 32 on my ACT, and I'm scheduled for the SAT subject tests (Physics, Biology, and Math II). I have a 3.85 GPA (unweighted), am taking or will be taking AP everything, have excellent recomendations, and have attended the National Youth Leadership Forum for Medicine (which is amazing; if you want some info for it, email me). I work in a hospital and have many extracirriculars. Please respond with some of the top colleges you think i could get into. Thanks.

Unless you're looking for joint programs, no one can answer that question until about four years down the road.

your doing very well so far, personally i'd be more concerned in the best undergrad options, hence look for colleges that have solid premed programs with high med school admit rates, and try to do everything possible between now and when u apply next fall to get into those schools desired. it is valid that if you are contemplating grad school (med school) that where you spend your undergraduate years is less important, but prestige and difficulty at xyz college is taken into account when applyin to med school. whatever you do, or where ever you end up goin just remember to take advantage of every opportunity available to you and you should get into some top medical schools. good luck.

I suggest you spend your time finding colleges that fit rather than the "best" schools or schools that are "good for premed." Kalamazoo, Hope, Haverford, Davidson, and Earlham have 98-100% med school admit rates, yet relatively few premeds consider them. I suggest exploring your interests and what you want out of college. College should be an experience in its own right, not a stepping stone or an inconvenient detour to medical school.

You live is Wisconsin. The UW Medical School is excellent and takes over half the students from UW Madison. Do the math. They even have a special guaranteed admit program you can get into as a freshmen.
