<p>Optometry school and pharmacy school are not the same as medical school, but while they’re technically not pre-med, as an undergrad you would still be taking a lot of the same classes the pre-med students do. Also, pharmacy school admissions are every bit as competitive as med school admissions. This might also be true of optometry, I don’t know.</p>
<p>Optometry school has harder admits than pharmacy, especially with the glut of pharmacy schools that are opening, but it is less difficult than dentistry, vet or med school. the courses are basically the same as med school with a few extra reqs. </p>
