for Junior transfer

If I had a nickel for every time a thread like this was made…

UGA (doesn’t ask for high school or SAT)
NYU (no SAT)
Cornell (no SAT)
Emory (no SAT)
UIUC (doesn’t ask for high school or SAT)
Penn State (no SAT)

Take note that you need a certain amount of credits in order to have the high school and SAT requirements waived, but since you said you’re applying as a junior, you should be good in all cases.

There’s a ton more, but those are just a few that I know off of the top of my head.

I believe the UC’s also don’t care about high school or SAT stats if you’re applying as a junior, but I’m not 100% sure on that one.

that’s correct about the UC’s

These schools are test optional: [Optional List | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List for Fall 2025 - Fairtest)

I think Umich requires that you submit the scores but they are not given much if any consideration, that was what they told me when I applied. So if you’ve taken it but your scores were just mediocre, that would work.

My future school, Ohio State, doesnt ask for either. I’ve only applied to USC and OSU so I don’t know about other schools.

Are you sure that Emory does not require SATs?

Test Scores

All applicants are required to submit scores, taken within the last five years, from the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the American College Test (ACT). If you have not taken the SAT or ACT within the last five years, you may arrange to do so through the Educational Testing Service office in your area. Scores may be reported to Emory directly from the testing center or from the official secondary school transcript. Emorys College Entrance Examination Board (CEEB)/SAT code number is 5187; the ACT code number is 0810. Students who do not speak English as a first language are strongly encouraged to submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score

Yea, you’re right. I meant to say that they don’t need high school transcripts after two years. As you can see, I kind of got in the habit of writing “no SAT” on that list, so I didn’t even realize it at the time. Thanks for pointing that out.

Sarah Lawrence does not require SATs but idk if you personally would consider that a top school

the Universities of California do not require either I believe.
