Top Schools with Most Holistic Admissions

^^ well, it seems the Vandy has pretty high average SAT scores:

SAT Critical Reading: 630 - 720
SAT Math: 650 - 740
SAT Writing: 630 - 710

I was talking more about their GPA breakdown:

* 46% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
* 25% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
* 17% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
* 8% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
* 4% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

Which is very close to a state university in California (Cal Poly's):

* 49% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
* 23% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
* 16% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
* 8% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24
* 4% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99

But perhaps Vanderbilt is so holistic that they their GPA breakdown is diverse, as they'd pay much more attention to ECs and the like, rather than GPA.

Brown has been known to have a very non-numbers oriented admissions process.

Northwestern University!

emory, u of rochester, vandy, brandeis

Wake Forest University, very writing-intensive application.

U Chicago, I'd say -- and Wake Forest.

Very different schools, but similar holistic approaches to admissions.
