GoBlue...those don't really count because they are rolling deadlines....actually for those you can actually cross them off your list because if you apply now...you basically have a slim to nill chance

Not true. I've seen quite a few students applying in the last week before the deadline and still got in.

In fact, there is little difference between applying in mid-Dec or mid-Jan. They all go into the same batch.

GoBlue...for UMich as you know its really difficult to get in (I'm only talking about UMich..not the others) .. unless you have a 4.0 Michigan Calculated GPA and 2100+ its going to be difficult...

Not true. Applying early gives you an edge in admission but not that much. Many early applicants with good credentials (but not good enough to be clear admits) are deferred and are considered together with the other people applying late. I can assure you there are still a lot of spaces left at this time.

There are a lot of discussions on this topic in the Michigan forum if you are interested.

Oh thanks...I guess I got the wrong impression. I thought once you get deferred its basically impossible to be admitted. Or is that later in the year after April?

once ur deferred from Michigan, it is virtually impossible from my experiences. I got in right away but I have seen most others deferred not get in the end.
