Top tier transfer without SAT Subject Tests

I am currently in my second year of studies at a university outside of the states and intend to transfer to the top tier (think Ivy, Chicago, Duke, U Mich, UVA) and have not taken any SAT Subject tests.

I intend to transfer in as a sophomore. I just checked the deadline which has already passed for SAT Subject tests. I was wondering how much of a disadvantage I'd be in (whether or not I should even bother applying) if I have not taken any SAT IIs, although I have taken the SAT I back in Dec 2005.

Ihave a decent hook and a compelling story to tell along with good performance at my current university. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

How are your stats (i.e. college GPA, SAT I, etc.)?

I would say the GPA is high relative to my university's grading standard.

SAT is competitive, although far from spectacular.

ECs are unique.

My question is, given that its impossible for me to take the SATII now, will I automatically be shuffled into the reject pile?

if you apply to schools that don't require the sat 2, which from your OP it seems you intend to do, it shouldn't matter.

According to the common app, it states that most of those colleges do require SAT Subject tests.

I would assume that if SAT II's are a requirement and you don't have any, then your application would be incomplete and therefore not considered for admission.

John Hopkins requires no test scores at all.

Never mind I thought you meant which schools do not require them.

for transfer admission, most schools do not require subject tests. however, you are at a disadvantage if you don't submit any. there is no way for anyone to tell you how much of a disadvatage that is without knowing more about you.

"Chicago, Duke, U Mich, UVA" do not require subject tests. i don't know the specific requirements for every ivy, but i know dartmouth requires them.

best of luck to you.
