Thank you so much, I love you, yes I really do, no I am not kidding.

I love you

lol, np.

I once had the same question about the business programs, so I asked it on CC. Someone who had this list gave me the exact answer I was looking for, and now I am able to help you in turn. That's the way CC works :).

wheres northwestern on this list??

They don't have an undergrad business program...

does anyone know particular factors that go into that ranking? im sure they are different than some of the other rankings...just curious because i find it really interesting that it is a much more localized list than others. intriguing.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get into msb of georgetown with a 3.5 gpa or better? Thank you

wow thanks alot.. this is just what ive ben looking for!

I thought u.s. news put Babson College on the unranked specialty schools list

it is on both because it is a business school which happens to be a specialty business only school as well.

Does UCLA's Anderson school of Management have an undergraduate program? Cuz I was thinking of going to UCLA due to its business program but apparently its not even on this list...

I don't think UCLA was ranked

No UCLA does not have an undergrad bschool.

wow these rankings really like public institutions-

i can't believe indiana state, ohio state, university of florida, u of arizona, u of illinois, u of minnesota, u of georgia, etc.... all rank higher than what my peers and I perceive or perceived as some of the top business programs in the country (i.e. Georgetown, BC, Bentley, Northeastern, Fordham, BU, Babson).

Can someone offer a hypothesis as to why it's like this?

yeah I see your point. Most top business schools (the cream of the crop) are private such as Wharton at Upenn, NYU Stern, Haas at UC Berkeley, Tepper at CMU. However, most of the top 15-30 are huge public schools such as the ones you mentioned.

I have no idea anyone know or care to investigate?

"Can someone offer a hypothesis as to why it's like this?"

Your friends perceptions of b-schools are wrong.

However, a G'town grad will have many more opportunities available to him/her than will a UofArizona grad. Overall school rep is much more important when it comes to getting a job.

Haas is public as is Ross, McCombs, Keenan Flagler and McIntire.

classprezcj, the reasons that these large, urban schools rank higher is actually pretty obvious. Consider the University of MN. This is a huge school with not only substantial financial backing, but it is in the heart of a major metropolitan area and is the only major University in town. Many fortune 500 companies are based in the twin cities, plus they donate heavily and participate actively in the business programs. If you just walk through the carlson building you'll see evidence of it: the target room, the 3M room, the piper Jaffray auditorium, etc. etc. The place is rolling in corporate money. hell, its benefactor is curt carlson. if you don't know who he is, look him up.

the smaller, private school names that you listed are simply that...names.

What ARE considered top undergrad business schools that are ranked lower in USNews? Come on Northeastern can't be THAT bad. I mean, they give you almost a year of on the job training...and they get you a job. Maybe not heavily recruited because Northeastern students already have jobs?
