This question’s been asked before, but the sources I found are quite dated. I was wondering which Canadian undergraduate commerce/business programs are regarded as the most prestigious, particularly from an employer’s perspective? Where do prestigious North American firms recruit the most? Which schools place the most students into Ivy League MBA programs? Are the programs recognised as prestigious internationally?
Thank you very much!
For an Ivy MBA an undergraduate business degree is not the best preparation. Such MBA programs also require at least 2 years post bachelor’s experience. Undergrad schools do not place students in top MBA programs, you place yourself.
To answer your question the top undergrad business programs in Canada are:
HEC Montréal
McGill
Queen’s
Toronto
York
Western
UBC
You can argue about the ranking ad nauseum.
@TomSrOfBoston so I guess my question translates to which specific undergraduate business programs land the most desirable jobs and thus also land places at Ivy League MBA programs
You still do not get it. You land the jobs, not the university. all of the schools I listed will offer you a great business education. What you do with it and other opportunities they provide will build your resume to appeal to employers.
