LMB noob. ![]()
no offense.

Way to go Deedy! :D

Is this a typo? ;)

ROOOOOOOFL CHARLES.

Deedy, youâre from LMB. Fact.

Lol no Tippu I believe in physics more than in psych. Psych ventures into labelling people territory more than Iâm comfy with.

You canât woo the adcoms by telling them you come 2nd in a private tutorial.

SAT score estimates are very dodgy. you never know if your saturday is gonna be lucky. MIT and Caltech are always reach schools, and itâs very hard to tell you your chances. If you start putting stuff like School Marathon Runner and iTouch ethical hacker on your app, theyâre really not gonna like you. For one, LMB allows prettymuch anyone to run in the marathon, also, MIT takes other hackers, not your type. :P

TIME is a management tutorial.

~

MIT is a need blind school, itâll make no difference. since you dont need FA, Georgia tech will love you.

There are cases like Debdeep that come along every year, adcoms arent perfect.

Go Gary

Dunno, legacy is a big plus, dunno about the postal thing

Look deedy, youâre talented, your excellent at Math, and youâve got excellent academic records. your problem is that you do too much, and merely skim the surface of what you do, what the adcoms are looking for is depth in ur app not breadth. work on your strong areas and youâll succeed, dont try to do everything that comes your way, it never works like that.

Good Luck!

Im really curious: whatâs LMB?

A school. I go to its sister school.

I love your location!

@Rumjhum LM == La Martiniere

@quasi Is there a big rivalry between LM Kolkata and LM Lucknow?

Oh so is it a very prestigious school or something? O:
And Quasi Im assuming you like my location, and Im also assuming that youâve heard the song from which the line comes from? If not, listen to Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley (:

LOL. It is like the Bishop Cottons, perhaps one of the top ten schools in India. I think the boys school was founded sometime around 1785!

Haha yeah itâs a top school.

@tippu: which school are you from?

oh is RK Puram considered one of top schools in India? haha sorry, I dont really know wha defines âtop schoolâ in India.

@charles14 just a local public school where we live - attended by mere mortals like me :)

I know about a few schools in Bâlore where some of my relatives attended. I know several âinternationalâ schools have sprung up all over India but I donât much about them. It is always interesting to read about some of these old schools like LM. There is so much history. I believe LM was setup during the early years of East India company. I am really interested in what Quasi has to say about her school. Nice thing about some of the older missionary run schools in India is that u donât have to be super rich to attend.

Iâm from La Martiniere, Calcutta too!!! It was founded in 1836 by a French general, hence the French name. He founded a school in Lucknow and a polytechnic college in France as well. Ask away people, I know all of the La Martiniere answers; including some deep dark secrets about the founder of my beloved school ;)!!

cheese, it must be interesting attending a historic school like that. I am a bit confused. Claude Martin, the founder, worked for East India company?

Yes, it is interesting. But donât feel too disillusioned because at the end of the day, it is a lot like any other Indian-Christian school; only way way better :D.

Claude Martin was in French army, then he had a stint with the East India Company and finally he became a general for the Nawab of Awadh and then he retired.

Weâre a 175-year old school.

I just listened to a speech about how lucky I am to attend it this morning, so Iâm not feeling particularly in love with it at the moment, but BLEH. Haha.

And yes, go ahead, ask whatever you want to know that cheese hasnât answered already.

And no, there isnât that much of a rivalry between us IMO, except during Intermart when we face off for debate, football, basketball and swimming.

Edit: Rumjhum, yeah, I love the song, which is why I said that! :D

@cheese: any words of advice for DeedyDash, heâs from your school, youâd judge him bestâŠ

Heâs a year younger than meâŠi have absolutely no idea who he is!!

cheese, the only person who got into H, Y and P last year was from LMB.
