Topic focus for UC Essay Prompt 1

<p>i realize there are many similar threads but i promise i already looked through most of em</p>

<p>been working on my UC personal statements for a couple months and my prompt 2 is pretty secure i think. for the 1st prompt I have a nice description of my world n all but i cant seem to relate it to my dreams/aspirations </p>

<p>(Prompt: Describe the world you come from — for example, your family, community or school — and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations)</p>

<p>basic characteristics of my life are 1 year living in Singapore, 2 in Australia, and not living with my dad since i was 8 (due to work not divorce)</p>

<p>any ideas on what I should focus my essay on? should i talk about living in foreign countries, or living w/o my dad? or both? ive been having problems trying to write elaborately about both issues + relating it to my dreams</p>

<p>probably write about livign in foreign countries. living w/o ur dad doesn’t really shape ur goals unless u put some thing about how you don’t want to leave ur own kid alone. Living in foreign countries is pretty easy to relate to ur dreams i.e. makes you want to travel the world, opened ur eyes to the poverty in other countries, etc.</p>
