Torn Between 2 Dream Schools ED

Hey everyone, I've posted a "chance me" before when I had a list of about 10 colleges I wanted to apply to. However, after much thought and research, I have narrowed it down to 2 schools that I am in love with. Brown and Columbia University. I want to apply Early Decision to one of them but I just can't choose which one!
I'm asking for your advice. Which school do you think I would have a better chance of getting in? Here are my stats.

I'm currently a Junior at a VERY competitive high school.
My GPA at the end of Sophomore year was a 95.0 but I expect it to raise into the 97's by the time my junior year ends. The reason it is so low is because I did not take Honor Courses 8th and freshman year. (8th Grade courses come up on my transcript)
I just took the SATs this march and I am taking it again this May. I did not get the score back but during practices I usually get around 2150.
My school offers IB instead of AP and I have taken advantage of this by taking All-IB Courses.
Alright so here are my stats and please Chance Me! Here goes!

I want to apply Early Decision to:
Columbia University
Brown University

Other Schools I'm applying to:

Rec's: Outstanding

I am a very strong speaker and I am very confident I can rock the interviews.
I also visted Yale, Brown, NYU and Columbia and took tours but my visits were never recorded, therefore i don't know if it will benefit me at all...

I'm not sure if I'm forgetting anything but yea. It's not that impressive but i can dream can't i? Please chance me and I'll be sure to chance you back. Thanks!

Because you’re from NY, without a hook Columbia will be very difficult. Not that Brown will be easy from NY either, but Columbia needs to accommodate lots of NY based legacies, staff kids and the otherwise connected so the unhooked don’t have much of a chance without off the chart stats.

Also realize both only offer alumni interviews which don’t count for much.

For either, higher than 2150 SAT scores will be important, so I’d focus on that.

SAT score is what u need

Are you more of the creative type or the traditional type? If creative, Brown, otherwise, Columbia. I think the person above may be right–Columbia may be challenging for a New Yorker. Also, do work on the SATs.

I have a friend who was choosing between Columbia and Brown and what ultimately sold her on Brown was the open curriculum vs. Columbia’s core curriculum. So that’s certainly something to consider when you’re deciding.

Thanks everyone for youre responses.
and Yes ive been working on that SAT score. I really hope I can improve that.

RFK, Yeah i was looking into the open curriculum at Brown and I’m loving it haha
I’m pretty much decided on Brown. Do you think I can get in?
