Torn between Schools

I cannot decide which school to go to, I am torn between Davis International Relations or Santa Barbara as a Political Science/IR emphasis. I have lived up in Northern CA all of my life and I really like Southern California but I dont want that to be the deciding factor in my choice of which college to go to. I know Davis has more internships available for my major but I could make that work for Santa Barbara by doing summer internships since it is more isolated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should base your decision upon what influences you most when choosing a school. Here are a few things you may take into consideration.

Academic appeal/job opportunities as you mentioned
Geographic location
Student demographics (i.e. fitting in, the party scene, etc.)
Grants/scholarships available

There are countless others and the above may or may not apply to you. So make a list of your priorities and see which are most important. Make your decision based on that. You might have to sacrifice some things in favor of others. Godspeed.

Thanks for you help, I will take that into consideration when I sit down with my parents tonight to try to come out with a consensus.
