I am a transfer student with a 3.8 GPA, receiving my AA-T transfer degree in History, who honestly cannot decide which university would be a better choice. I wish I had applied to better schools, but sadly I didn't meet UC requirements (I lack a foreign language course.)

Currently, I have been granted admission to:
Cal State Los Angeles
San Diego State
San Francisco State
Cal State Long Beach
I am still waiting for my letter from Cal State Fullerton.

I have pretty much ruled out Cal State Los Angeles, as I find it to be the least desirable out of my choices. Cal State Fullerton was sort of my fallback school, as my CC works directly with them and pretty much guarantees admission for transfers.
San Diego State remains an available option, though not one I would prefer to accept.

My problem is I am completely ripping myself apart trying to decide between Long Beach and San Francisco. I know Long Beach is considered a better school, but being from the local area, I have this desire to move away and into a beautiful city. San Francisco is always where I thought I would end up, and it was my first choice school as I didn't think Long Beach would take me. The reason for that being that my GPA was considerably higher than I thought, as I didn't take into consideration that I had some lower end courses (Math 60, Math 80, etc) that wouldn't count as transferable credits. I went from assuming I had a 3.4 to actually having a 3.8.

At first I felt like SFSU was exactly where I want to be, but now I've done more research, and it seems like students and alumni were not thrilled with the education they received, which has also raised concern with me.

So, I'm asking for your opinions on what you would do in my situation.
I'm also curious as to whether or not SFSU is actually that bad of a school, or if it's just people angry about the impaction and tuition costs.

Thanks for any advice or opinions you have. It's greatly appreciated.
