Torn between two Colleges

So I am thinking of applying to CALTECH and Cal Poly SLO. My grades this year are 3.66-4.0 GPA; my highest year in high school. I'm a junior and I'm pretty busy in the school world. I live in California and I want to go into the computer Science or Computer Engineering field with a career as a Systems Analyst. I have 4 years of band coming, 60+ hours of volunteer work, and hopefully a member of All-State honor band. I'm also a member of CART or Center of Advanced Research and Technology.
My academics are above average, but not as good as needed for CALTECH, if I am correct. I know Cal Poly is easier to get into but I want to get as good as a school for Computer Science and I know Caltech is all around better. I'm very confused as of what to do because I have a very awkward schedule. Could I have some assistance for choosing??

Thanks for those who read my post :)

Make that decision once you get into caltech, apply to both.

Remember prom dates. There are those who will say yes, and those whose answer you can’t be sure. Play it safe and go, or reach for what you really want but risk staying at home. Do you wish to spend four years at a school you like or love?

meteman: I don’t know if i can get in, thats my question…?

Madame: I’m having a hard time with comprehending your question

Why do you think you have to choose NOW?

Don’t you realize that you need to apply to several schools?

Follow meteman’s advice at 8:43 PM. You’re a junior. Find a party tonight and worry about these questions next year.

I know I need to apply to more than just two :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll apply to Stanford, Santa Cruz, Caltech, Cal Poly, UC Berkeley and at least two more. I plan to stay in-state. Im stressing out right now…I just want the best for myself
