Torn between two colleges

I applied to two colleges for construction management which are Alfred state and Utica college primarily because they are both acce accredited, can anyone give me a insight on either and help me make a decision,I want to go to the right school for my major.

First see where you get in and what is affordable.

Utica College could be good if you could connect, at least in principle, with the nanotechnology development occurring in the region.

@happy1 I could afford both with federal, parent and financial aid assistance, I just need to choose which one would be better since I’m looking to transfer in January

@merc81 so Utica college would be better for connections?

@ken11: Given the otherwise comparable aspects of these schools, the presence of nanotechnology development in the Utica region could tip the balance in favor of UC for the possibility of internships or post-graduate connections.

Have a chat with the people in both career centers. Where do their graduates get jobs and internships?

Where is the extra 10 k each year for Utica going to come from? What else could you do woth that kind of money?

In another thread you said your parents can’t help much with costs. How will you be paying for school? You can borrow $7500/year as a junior and senior, but that leaves a ~$13k/year gap at Alfred. Can your parents afford that?

@happymomof1 I like that idea

@austinmshauri I understand what your saying but it doesn’t matter to me right now what matters is which school I will be getting the best for what I am paying for

Ok so this is my final thread about this topic, I got accepted to both, Alfred state being 20 grand a year and Utica 30 grand a year, I really don’t know where to go, Alfred state is Abet and Acce accredited and cheaper, but it’s in the middle of nowhere and the gender ratio throws me off and Utica College is in a better surrounding area, but the price is slight higher, but I really geared to Utica College for some reason, so I just wanna go somewhere I will get the best out of my construction management degree, please someone help me finalize my decisions

It doesn’t matter to you whether you’ll be able to afford the school? There is no magic fairy dust that manufactures money because it’s for college. Either you can afford it or not. Ask your parents if they can come up with the extra $10K
