Torn between UCB spring admit AND UCD AND UCSD?

torn between UCB spring admit AND UCD AND UCSD?

i was admitted spring to berkeley with 2,000 scholarship for spring semester(want to go into Hass school of business but they only determine that after 2 years so i am currently accepted into College of Letters and Science)

i was admitted fall to davis with 6,000 scholarship per year (major is Food Science which i am interested in)

i was admitted fall to UCSD with 2,000 scholarship per year (major is undeclared)

Berkeley is a more prestigious school than davis, but davis is upcoming.

As for UCSD i am not really very interested since my major (business) is not there. but UCSD is ranked above davis and has a pretty solid reputation

Which school should i attend?

Any thoughts would be appreciated

go to berkely. You won't regret it.

Go to CAL.... it's the best public school in the nation... GOD! I wish I applied there.

berkeley, hands down

I was in a similar situation 2 years ago. Berkeley spring, or Irvine (Chancellors scholarship). Went to Irvine and have never regretted it.

I am in the same situation and I believe that Davis is the better deal. Davis has a nicer much larger campus. But if you want to go somewhere because of the brand name go to Berkeley. I appealed my spring admission to Berkeley in Bioengineering and I am waiting to see what they come up with at Berkeley. But as of right now I am probably going to Davis Biomedical Engineering because I like the dorms better at Davis and it is cheaper.

If on-campus housing is really important for you, make sure that Cal has housing for you in the Spring. As far as I know, UCs guarantee housing for Fall admits only.

But even if they don't, I still think you should aim to go anyway. :)

Edit: Also, if you go to Cal, you'll have the opportunity of going to a community college first...So I'd take what would be the equivalent of difficult GE courses at Cal in CC, because your CC grades won't factor into your UC GPA. ;)

go to berkeley and challenge yourself. it's where you belong.

I think you should attend the school you truly love. Only you know this. Anyone can tell you this or that about a school, but it comes down to your gut.

CAL guarantees housing for Fall and Spring Admits! Housing is guaranteed at CAL now for 2 years.

Cal states that they will make the best effort to get you housing. They say that they "might" not be able to place you. But they end up placing everyone anyway so CA2006 is pretty much correct.

Ucsd.......

If you're only looking at academics, easily Cal.

What aspects matter most to you? Cal has a nutritional science major, and I'm not sure how much it differs from UCD's. You aren't guarenteed to get into Hass, but if you, it will open up many opportunities you would be unable to get at the other places you're considering. UCD has some business-like econ concentration. Most spring admits seem to do just fine at Cal, socially speaking, as well as academically, especially if they kept sharp on their own time. The atmospheres are quite different, as are the locations. The money is a bit different at each. I'd say go to the school which is best for you. ;) Yeah, the greatest advice ever, but the best I could do for you. Good luck!
