Torn between UPitt and Marquette... need help!

Well I've pretty much narrowed down my list of colleges to Pittsburgh and Marquette I visited Marquette back in August and really liked the campus, but didn't really remember too much because it was over 6 months ago and I was only there for the day. Pitt I went to a few weeks ago and also liked it, but when I got home, I realized that I should've gone on a better day (when there was more action, I went on a snowy saturday morning). I've made pros and cons for each school.

Marquette

Campus life- pro
Sense of community-pro
Dorms/Campus size and aesthetics- pro
Academics-pro
Fact that I got a 13k scholarship- pro
Distance- pro (its far from NJ, but I have family in Chicago)

UPitt

Academics-pro
Name-pro
Opportunities- pro
City-pro
Distance- kind of a pro (I live in NJ- so anything more than 4 hours is far for me)
Have my specific major- pro

I liked both schools equally, and while Pitt does have much better academics than Marquette, I'm afraid that it'll be too much of a party school. Marquette on the other hand, while its academics may not be as great as Pitt's, the community feel that I got from it was awesome. I'm torn between both and have no idea what to choose. I'm trying to see if I can go to both schools once more within the next few months, so maybe that'll help me. Can I get your input?

What is your major? I think you will be surprised by the academics if you select Marquette.

What is your likely major and career goal?

How often would you want to go home (not just to see relatives)?

Would you have a car at either school?

Will your parents pay for whichever one you’d rather attend?

I don’t think that Pitt is a big party school-its actually a pretty serious academic school.

I think you should look closely at the academic programs for your intended major and see how they compare. For instance, Marquette is a Jesuit college and you will be required to take several courses in theology and ethics. Pitt has arts and science distribution requirements but the only required course I know of is Philosophy.

What are you planning to major in?
