I know that most Americans don't apply to Canadian colleges, but I think they are amazing schools.

Being Canadian myself, I think they are excellent choices given that they cost similar to an in-state college. I have been admitted into McGill, and although it still says decision pending, Toronto is likely as well (it says Congrats! on the application status page).

I now need to make a decision. McGill or Toronto? What would you guys recommend in this situation?

McGill
Has a great international reputation. It's probably what most people think of first when they hear "canadian college." Great city in montreal and also a very good engineering program. However, I am worried because it's a very french city, and my french is very VERY limited. Accepted in ECE.

Toronto
Great city, and a great college. It's purely english, so there's no language barrier there. Their engineering department is considered stronger than McGill, and I was accepted into their "track one" program, which is a general engineering curriculum for those undecided. Thats the biggest draw for me, as it seems like the perfect program for me. However, Toronto has a reputation for keeping the grades there ridiculously low, and for an engineering major, that could be a problem. Also, would going to Toronto, which is less known than McGill in the US, possibly limit job opportunities?

Thanks! This board seems so much faster than the Canada one, so I just want a different opinion :)
