<p>Brand is actually very unimportant compared to the components within them… Every laptop company uses similar components, and prices are determined by the quality of the parts they use. They can use Intel or AMD processors, Integrated GPU or Dedicated, RAM size, Hard Drive size, etc… </p>
<p>Please consider the specs well before buying… being too brand oriented could mean that you get a very bad deal… (I know someone who bought a completely crappy laptop only because it was pink and Sony).</p>
<p>Gryffon is generally correct, but brand is a factor (although a minor one). Different brand laptops have different build qualities, durability, etc. Even things such as noise or fan systems vary from brand to brand.</p>
