Total Applications Growth/Decline Class of 2018

I really liked this thread last year for the class of 2017, so I thought I'd start one for the class of 2018. Here are the first handful I've found, but please contribute others that you've seen. Post information about growth/decline in applications for individual colleges, along with a link citing that information. I've ranked the colleges based on the number of applications they have received.

Given that last year's thread got more than 90,000 views, so it might be good if one of the administrators could pin this to the top.

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard President John Hennessey mention during the parent’s weekend that Stanford should increase the number of undergraduate seats because the total number of applicants is something like 43000 - not sure if he was referring to this year’s numbers.

^^^^^ Yes, those must be this year’s, since last year’s were 38k. Huh, when people talked about Stanford’s numbers being “a lot more than expected” this year, I pictured a dismaying 50-60k+. The 40k+, on the other hand, was already predictable.

University of Colorado Boulder - 28,467, up 33 percent
Colorado College: ED/EA only: 3,676, up 43 percent

I wonder if legalization had anything to do with that^^^^^ @mominaustin. Seems like a drastic increase
