Total cost of attending UT

What is the total cost of attending UT? (international)

Assuming tuition = 18 000
housing = 8500
living expenses= 12500

it should come up to almost 40k a year! is that right or are my calculations/figures wrong?

thanks.

i think your living expenses are way off..you're a college student. walmart is your best friend, not neiman marcus.

Well if international tuition is the same as out of state, your numbers are all wrong. Tuition = little less than $13,000. Housing = little less than $7,000. Living expenses = about $6,500.

its going to be hard to find housing for less than 7000

for international i think its more like 20K

From the 2006 Guide To Choosing The Right College: UT room + board (housing) = $6,200.

but according to ut site I understood tution was $18000 and other expenses togathr was bet 10k to 12k

so total for intrnational will be bet $28000 to $30000

housting isn't necessarily $8500 unless you stay at university towers or a really expensive apartment. Look at co-ops for cheap, fun, clean living (around $4500 for room and board).

"but according to ut site I understood tution was $18000..."

Tuition is not $18,000, not even for out of state. But I dont know about international, it may be different.

On the website, it states tuition for McCombs international is 18k.
It also states that per month exp. ranges from 950 to 1250.
Housing at 8500 (single room)

That's where i got my figures from.

Well then maybe international rates are different. And when people ask about housing, they usually dont mean single room rates, so a little less than $7000 for housing is still right.

Can anyone give me a good figure of how much total costs would be for out-of-state to UT given about 7000 for housing and normal college expenses? I've been having a hard time getting an exact amount. Thanks~

what it says on UT website is estimated annual expense for undergraduates is $18071 except for undergraduate pharmacy

U can check on international students and scholar-new student

For those who are already in UT Austin, can you give me a rough calculation of your per month lliving expenses?

Thanks
