Total fees minus tuition

Looking here for someone that has been at Bama this past year- just trying to get a ballpark firgure for total- minus tuition- suite dorms , meal plan, fees and books…anything else- just a guesstimate…

Have you seen this link? The cost of books and fees will vary depending on where/how/what your student needs, but this is a reasonable estimate based upon our experience. Just deduct the cost of tuition and adjust the room cost if necessary to reflect your student’s housing option and decide upon the parking decal based upon whether they are bringing a car to campus. Laundry is $1.25 for each load both to wash and to dry, so $2.50. Don’t forget to allow for this and a little for spending money to eat out, buy clothing, etc. You’ll be surprised how frugal they can be if they want.

Bama doesn’t charge a laundry list of fees like other schools. But, they do charge “course fees” like many/most schools do. these are like “lab fees” and such. Those will vary by course selection. Plan on about $300 a semester for course fees.

Suites housing is a lot more expensive than standard double housing. Will your son be choosing suites or doubles?

Thanks this is perfect…
