Does UCSD allow skateboarding on campus?

yes…

To the point in which watching people wipe out on Library Walk is a local pastime.

^ There’s a memorial site along the hill going from Petersen –> Warren Mall

The website says that skateboarding isn’t allowed in certain places like library walk, does anyone really care or enforce that?

Not really but you get a lot of dirty looks from people for almost running them over! hah

There are signs everywhere saying “No bikes or skateboards”. They might as well not be there tho, since everyone bikes/skateboards and no one cares.

They tried banning biking/boarding on Library walk for like a week, but that didn’t work at all.

yeah, you won’t have a problem skating on campus, despite the signs. just don’t be one of the people who don’t give a **** about other people walking around. it’s really annoying when someone on a skateboard doesn’t slow down and makes people get out of their way

Sometimes there are people on library walk to tell you to get off skateboards/bikes, but I’ve only seen that once.

There was like a week last quarter when they were really cracking down on it (like jellybelly said)…one day they were even handing out tickets to all people not following the signs…but other than that, I’ve never seen any enforcement
