totally randoom

Well although I am only a junior and still have a long ways to go. I have noticed and learned alot of things so far from being a part of thhe CC community. I also still have some suggestions and opinions that I would love to discuss with fellow intelligent CCers.

First, all that I have learned so far. Standardized tests are what you make them out to be. If you are a person that worries like crazy about how well you will do, then these tests will be one of the most stressful things ever. Instead just be calm and relax, I have yet to take these tests but am confident in how I will do, although not too confident that I dont study, but just enough so that I am optimistic.( I was that kid that stressed about these tests like a month ago.) These tests matter alot but they are not the only criteria that is considered.

What is a good GPA matters solely on the school that you are applying to. I have seen people on this thread getting concerned because there GPA is a 3.7. SERIOUCLY???? This is a pretty darn good GPA and no matter what it should not be looked down upon as a bad one. The bad GPAs would be those that are lower than 3 but once again, this all matters on which type of school that you which to apply to. We all know that the 4.0 is the phenomenal GPA that we all wish we had but that is not the case. We all take diffferent courses,of which may have a different rigor to them, so we can not simply look at the GPA and make the statement that it is too low or whatever.

Race. No matter what your arguement is, we all know that it plays a role in admissions whether the school says it does or doesnt and thats the end of that lol.

The last but in my opinion the most important thing that I learned from this forum is that we as a society have little to no confidence in ourselves. Yes 90 percent of all who post on CC are applying to some of the best schools in the nation but we should never forget the fact that what these colleges see on those applications are the long nights of hard work that we, applicants, put in towards high school. We should not look at our own accomplishments and think that they are not good enough. All of us on CC deserve to go to top notch schools but that is not how the world works. So lets not doubt ourselves anymore for we are all bright young minds that are bound to help change this world that we live in.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

Well hmm Idk what to say now lol jk. This site is amazing, I am truly pleased to have seen so many smart and long minds that are bound to change the world. We are all fortunate young people and lets not forget that.

Wow, that really was “randoom”.

Hmm… you’re probably right. But when you’re a neurotic student trying to get in a Ivy-League college, what can you do. Plus for some of us who go to private schools, 3.7’s ARE pretty much… only okay. But yeah, we do need to shy away from the whole ‘its Princeton or my life is over’ attitude.

i agree, i don’t know why Asians think they are ORM. I mean they are usually only around 15-20% of the school population.
