I am currently at a school that offers a BS in general engineering, which can be double-majored with a BA in something else. I am considering - if I stay here - doing a BS in engineering and a BA in chemistry, but this will be incredibly difficult logistically. I won't be able to study abroad, and I'll probably have to overload two or three semesters. The other option, one I have applied to do, is to transfer and do a BS in chemical or biological engineering. (It must also be noted that I genuinely don't feel the current school I am at "is me" in the sense that I don't feel I fit in to the culture here, but my questions are purely academic here.) Though I know this would be equally difficult academically, I feel the structured program might allow me to enjoy other aspects of my college experience.

My questions are, what are the pros and cons? What is the best way for me to think about this problem and figure out what is best? I'd appreciate any input.

Thanks!
