Tough decision. Please help.

Okay, so currently I live in Michigan. I have been accepted to MSU and Loyola Chicago. I have apps pending from NYU, ND, and U of M.

I believe I will get into U of M and idk about the other two.

My desired major is business and I have absolutely no chance of getting in pre-admit to Ross at U of M.

I am in Loyola to the business school because it is open enrollment.

My question is, would it be better to go into the business school at Loyola or get an econ degree from Umich if I don't get into Ross?

Other-
Money, fortunately, is not an substantial roadblock.
I want a career in financial services or trading

What school do you think would be better?
Is it better to trade a great "traditional" college experience with big athletics, a huge campus, and active social life to live in Chicago? Or does U of M have better opportunities even though it isn't in Chicago?

Thanks.

Definitely Umich econ/math > loyola bus, who knows you might get into Ross as well. You might also want to consider NYU econ/Stern or ND if you get in with good aid, but Mich is a great option for you with instate costs.

Thanks for your help. Very helpful. Any particular reasons why umich is better?

tbh, it depends on what you want to work in. A lot of the front-office jobs at financial firms recruit heavily based on whether a school is a target or not, and I’ve never heard of loyola as being a target. You can google or search collegeconf to see what schools are targets and what aren’t. It depends whether you want to do in business I guess.
