Just got off the waiting list for Vanderbilt. However, I do want to study business. I already got into NYU Stern and I know that Stern is the 5th best undergraduate program in the United States. Vanderbilt overall is better than NYU and the college experience at Vanderbilt probably suits me better. As I said before, business is my plan so I'm weighing that against Vanderbilt's overall prestige and experience. What are your thoughts?

You don’t need to study business to be successful in business. If you like Vandy better (and there’s no financial factor in the decision), I’d go where you want to go, do well in whatever area of study interests you, and use your extracurricular activities, jobs, and summers to develop your business skills. You will have lots of classmates at Vandy doing the same thing.

thats a really tough decision. As you said, stern is great for business, and vanderbilt is better otherwise.
I know someone who was exactly in the same position as you - he had to decide between cornell and stern, and he chose stern over cornell’s overall prestige. He howver regrets his decision and wishes he had gone to a school with more prestige overall.

You can always study business later on in grad school, and for now, you could do economics or something at vanderbilt?
