Mit
10 Charcarcters

swarthmore

swarthmore

Harvey Mudd College (have a friend that goes there, salutorian, great student and good person, struggling to get b/c's on tests and essays)

I'll have to second MIT. From watching the intro physics lectures and tests alone, I know that it would be VERY hard for me to pull a C there.

swarthmore, mit, caltech, reed, carnegie mellon, chicago

i swear, a friend of mine went to Swarthmore and she came out with gray hairs!

i never thought of rice as full of intense students.

uchicago has been somewhat of a dismal environment in my experience.

My friend is triple majoring in Swarthmore. She's going crazy.

how in the heck she triple majoring?
They have rules on majors that other schools dont have

elsijfdl
how is chicago a dismal environment?

RiceU? Psh.

Cornell and Swarthmore easily. Uncle went there (now a professor) and I heard the homework conditioned were borderline genocide.

Srrsly.

Princeton.

Harvard is nothing compared to Princeton's deflation.

princeton is nothing compared to swarthmore's deflation

Ivy League is nothing (excluding Cornell). Grad inflation, especially Yale, is a testament to this. Why do you think they have such a high retention rate?

Gentleman's B's for the win!

As a current Chicago student, I personally wouldn't consider the school study-crazy, but I could see how others might not enjoy the student-placed emphasis on academics. I think the students who end up coming to Chicago generally know that they are going to an academic school, and really like what the school has to offer them. The same is probably true for the other schools that have been mentioned explicitly or implicitly on this thread (Swarthmore, Mudd, Reed, MIT, etc.)

Apologies for the lecture-- I just think it's important to point out that these schools are great choices for a lot of people.

Work Forest.

Grade deflation like a mother.
