Tour without the official tour?

My family and I are going to stop by Baltimore and Johns Hopkins on our college trips scheduled throughout spring break. When we get to Johns Hopkins it is on a Saturday when there are no info session or tours. I was just wondering if you all have any recommendations for what we should do in order to really "feel" the university. We are planning on at least walking around the campus. Any suggestions??

Check out http://apply.jhu.edu/pdf/walking_tour_2008.pdf</a> for a good walking tour/overview. Campus might be a bit dead, especially on Saturday mornings, but you’ll probably see people around and on the Beach (a big grassy area) in the afternoon if its warm.

When are you planning to visit? If it happens to be 4/25, you’ll be there in the middle of our annual Spring Fair and campus will be ridiculously busy/crowded/fun

Awesome thanks tanman, thats exactly what I was looking for! Actually we are going to be there tomorrow!!lol
