I was told by somebody in the admissions office that they do not give tours in the summer...which I find to be odd, but they said I could do a "self-tour", has anybody ever done this and how will they know that I was there?

Also they said that they do not give interviews...that I have to do an alumni interview, does anybody know how to set one of these up?

that's odd.. i saw one going by a few days ago. and wait.. my friend is working as a tour guide this summer..

here's a link to the tour section. I'm assuming you're talking about a campus tour and not a more specific school tour. http://www.cornell.edu/visiting/ithaca/walking_tours.cfm

I was just at Cornell for an Info Session and a Tour July 6th ... all up and running just fine

They give tours over the summer, I took mine in August of 11th grade. I think you give your name at some point during the tour (beginning or end most likely) to let Cornell know that you visited.

campus tours are running during the summer, dont forget to buy ice cream near those carts at day hall ^__^

what in the world, I am not kidding, I called, maybe it was because I spoke to man in the hotel administration school as that was what I was interested in...

Cornell has got to be one of the most annoying/ confusing schools to deal with. When d applied a few years ago- ya had your SUNDAY walking tour of campus, the general info session tour and/or the individual college tour (ILR- Engineering etc).
Take a deep breathe- get used to it--and Good luck!
PS -- My d absolutely loves Cornell.

Somehow- I can't imagine what admissions is going to be like next year when kids are going to be able to apply to 2 programs. Oh joy- you guys can go on 3 or 4 different tours of Cornell.

yea im here for the summer and there are millions of tours.
