heya, i couldn’t attend cal day, but i’m gonna visit berkeley next week and get a campus tour… is there anywhere that wont be on the tour that i should definitely take a look at or ask about? anywhere that exemplifies the atmosphere and students, or just anywhere unique and neat about berkeley? thanks…!

sather gate is the center where people usually gather at.

it kinda depends on your interests....some possibilities...
on campus and associated with the campus: check out a library (http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/AboutLibrary/visitor_information.html - the music library is recently opened to the public), one of the museums (university art, natural history), the campanille, sather gate, dorms (foothill, the units), walk along the stream and check out the faculty club, the sports facilities.

telegraph avenue: eat just about anywhere for cheap, bookstores (cody's, moes, shakespeare & co). music (amoeba and rasputin's)
