Towels

Try showering every 3 or 4 days.

MY TOWELS GO A LONG WAYS

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

You guys... are unbelievable. Where do you find the time... you're just all unbelievable. But granted, I am cleaner than any of my roommates that I know when it comes to changing sheets and towels! And I change sheets every two weeks, hand towel every week (ends for wiping off toothpaste off my mouth), bath towel every 3 weeks (I usually wear my robe), and pillow case every week.

But, wow. Even I don't have that much space!

::bow::

....

I too am amazed... I've been called on being a bit OCD about my cleaning habits and I cannot even imagine using a new towel every day. Like I said earlier, that'd be 28 towels. It just seems wasteful.

28 towels? I plan on doing laundry about once a week...I couldn't imagine going for a whole month without doing any at all lol! I would have to spend a full week cleaning all my clothes. I'm bringing about 8 bath towels, plus my robe and my loofah.

I plan on doing laundry once a week like I do at home, so I'll probably bring 8 bath towels and 2 or 3 each of hand towels and washcloths, since I use a loofah. I really don't think that would take up that much space.

kk06, I use dryer sheets and they work really well for me, and are a lot more convienent than liquid softener. Plus, I feel like your clothes get a chance to get cleaner because all that's in the last rinse is pure water. But that's just me.

I usually wear my jeans three times before washing if I don't get anything on them. I think they fit better after a couple wears, and I wear jeans so much I'd have to have a seperate load just for jeans if I washed them after each wear.

My roommate brought 10 sets of towels and three sets of sheets. At Christmas break she brought home everything but two sets of each. As long as you have a place to hang up your towel so it dries out, and don't go to bed sweaty or anything, you should be fine with two of each (that's what I brought). Wash them once a week and nothing ever smells funky....

good luck finding the time to do laundry once a week . . .

^ There's such thing as doing your homework while you do laundry. All you have to do is put all of your stuff in, pop in a dryer sheet (or liquid), and twist the knobs. Really only takes about five minutes - if you have to gather your dirty stuff beforehand from the floor.

This concept of using a towel only once is realllly foreign to me. I definitely probably use the same towel for about a week. I don't get random acne or anything, haha.

(I've always used a towel only once.)

But the sheer hilarity of having three pages worth of discussion on towels is giving me convulsions.

lol austinj :D Towels are a very important topic!!!

Anyway, I can't imagine using a towel only once...how many towels do you have?? When do you actually find the time to wash them? I usually use mine for about a week before changing them, and I never thought it was gross or anything...

Okay, the main arguement I give is this:
You have to dry off your entire body...and do you really remember which end was your face vs. various other parts of your body? Lol!

But shouldn't all parts of your body be just as clean as other parts? It really shouldn't be a problem...

I don't know how much my towels are changed (my mom does it) but I'm guessing once a week. So I'll probably do that in college. Or I'll get like 5 towels and wash every four weeks.

I only wear a pair of jeans once before washing because I like how they feel when they're freshly washed. I don't like the soft, flexible feeling if they're not.

I only plan on washing things every two weeks. That may seem kind of impossible, but I have a lot of clothes. And I mean a lot of clothes. I'll have no problem going two weeks without wearing anything twice. Actually, I have no doubt that I could go three. And I have enough shoes to go a week +...and the funny thing is that I'm a guy haha

My whole thing is that although I could easily go a couple months without wearing the same top or bottom twice, I definitely have favorite clothing items - probably comprising about 14 outfits. I wash my clothes a couple times a week right now - between work, school, and lounging around the house I wear a LOT of clothes!

And yeah, your whole body should be just as clean, but there's something about that...i don't know what it is, but it grosses me out.

Yeah, I guess I get what you mean. But there's always a tag on one side of the towel. So the tag side could be upper body and the non-tag side could be lower body. That's how I'd do it.

i remember the sides i use on the towel. i use one side for the body, and the other side for hair. and i only use a towel once. it grosses me out thinking that i might use the side of the towel that's been on my body on my hair.
