800: 2:05 Hopeing to break 2 this year....last year was my first year running and that was when I ran that.
400: (4x4 split) 54.XX My goal is 51
1600: 4:59 ( not great but will easily cut down on this time this year)
These are all my times from last year, which happen to be my PR's cause it was my first year running.
This year we were Foothill league Co-champions in Cross Country.
My Friend ran a 2:02 last year in the 8 and with me close behind him with a 2:05 we both have challeneged ourselves to see who can break 2 the fastest and how low we each can bring eachothers times down.
It's pretty nice when you have an equal competitor, you really get to push yourself. Has anyone else accomplished a Sub 2 time??? I cant wait to race. Beginning of MArch is our first race. Got my Miler's all ready... SHould be a fun Senior year on the track. w00t w00t

I do track all year round (cross country, indoor and outdoor track).
Eh, I've started doing 1500s for indoor. I'm still really bad at it though. For outdoor, I'll probably be doing 800s or 1500s. I'm also thinking of pole vaulting for outdoor.
And yeah, I don't really like indoor because of the air at the Armory.

i run track...practice doesnt start for another month though...from your times it seems like most of you are guys...im a girl...
1600: 5:20
3200: 11:33
and xc is better than track.
5k xc: 18:48
indoor is fun. you feel a lot faster when youre running around in tight little circles inside. although it is a lot more laps.

i didnt know there were so many runners here. im a 200/400m runner, ran a high 51 for the 400 last year, this year im definately going sub 50, no question about it. i went 22.8 in the 200 last year at leauge finals, looking to go for a low 22 this year

Are you looking to run in college? Sub-50 should warrant some DI attention. College track is the greatest experience ever.

EDIT: My high school PRs were:
100m - 11.02
200m - 22.81 (only ran it twice junior year, once at class, once at states)
LJ - 21'1"
TJ - 42'5"

Even though I never ran it in high school (hamstring injury senior year) I'm running the 200m in college. Coach thinks that with an 11.02 PR in the 100, he can get me down around 21.9-22.2 in the 200 by the end of the spring. I'm not so sure, but he's an Olympic gold medalist in the sprints, so I'm not going to argue with him :)

EDIT2: I_am - those are some great times! My ex-girlfriend ran 5:16 and 11:00 and got a full scholarship ($48,000[!!!]) to Georgetown with those times, which I think you should definitely hit this year.

Oh dear God, good luck with that. I can't imagine running a 500 (or 400 hurdles for that matter). Those have to be the most painful events in all of track.
I think I may compete for the first time of the season this weekend at LSU (unattached from Tulane). I just need to run a 60 and triple jump and see where I am right now.

I hate the 500. It's a sadistic, cruel, and torturous race, but it's good prep for running 400s in the spring. 400m hurdles would be even worse I think.

I ran track last year. I mostly ran the 100m, 4x100, and 200m (which I despise). I really wasn't that good. I think I just needed to put some time into it that I really wasn't ready to give. My best for the 100m was a 14.3.

I go to Centennial, Its in howard county, we were real good last year, had a couple of state champs, but all the seniors graduated and now we suck. Wat school do u go to? And ya, the PG complex is much better than any armory

I'm from Perry Hall in Baltimore County. Our boys team isn't great, but our girls are decent. We have a couple people going to states though, which is nice. Not me though :(
