Anyone doing Track and Field for the season has just started?

List your events and times for them. Also list year and state.

I'm getting pretty hype about it.

I'm gonna be doing 100m / 200m and I have never ran the 200m, though I know I will be good at it. My last recorded 100m time was 11.8s, though that was without preparation, training, spikes, or any idea about form. I have never done track before so this is gonna be pretty fun, I hope.

I'm a senior in IL. I should be competing at varsity level. If I can shave off 8 tenths of a second off my time, I will qualify for state!

Track for me starts in March.
I suck at it, but my events are the 1600 m (6:39 best time).
When I first started, my 100 m time was 16.9 (not good, but I've gotten better but have not timed a new one.

I just started last year, and my favorite event was 800m, 2:19, not spectacular but I think decent for a sophmore.
Mile and 400m weren't that good, 60.0 and 5:30...

Pole vault!! And I think I'm running middle distance starting this year, not sure what specific events though. Our season doesn't start til half way through March though.

Used to run track for school... this time of year I wish I did. I was really close to getting sub-5 for the mile 2 years ago, and sub 2:00 for the 800.

MA, girl, senior, shotput 34'. Indoor season hasn't even ended yet.

not looking for anything special, just some more PRs and to place first at the Div I meet in outdoor. And indoor, considering it's next Sunday. If I somehow explode in outdoor then I'll be looking for the school record. (39')

First year in track. Starts in the end of Feburary. Hoping to break five by the end of season. In mile. Hate sprints. I'm guy. Now I just need to force myself to run an eight miler today :)

track stars for me in Mearch for me as well. I ran 4:56 last year in the 1600m at the end of the season, and hopefully I can get back into that kind of shape pretty quick

I'm surprised that there are NO other sprinters here! Mostly distance runners it seems like.

I got my first meet next friday - indoor. It sucks though because Illinois is VERY competitive in running (distance or sprinting) so it is unlikely that I will go to state. Mostly because of those DAMN Chicago schools!!! Aghhh!!
