Does anybody know anything about the Harvard track team? I'm a girl and I'm interested in running the 400 hurdles there (and possibly the 400). Also, does the track coach have a lot of influence with the adcoms? (my stats are fine, i think... 2280 SAT's, 233 PSAT's and national merit semifinalist, captain of 3 sports and president of a bunch of clubs). I know that Harvard just graduated two of their best 400 hurdlers... do you think that would help me out at all? (my times are definitely not as good as theirs, though, but still pretty decent.) Thanks for the help!

I'm a freshman who's going to run xc/track at harvard next year. PM me if you'd like to talk.

okay, thanks so much!

suglasses - i just tried to PM you but i think your inbox is full. ;)

try the team web page ... http://gocrimson.collegesports.com/sports/w-track/harv-w-track-body.html ... you can check out the roster and/or the results to see how many people run your events and if your times are in the hunt. BTW I'd expect Harvard to have a no cut philsophy about track & field ... anyone who regularly attends practice can be on the team (although getting into meets will be performance based). And in the bottom right corner is a tab to contact the coaches ... if you really are interested in track at Harvard I'd suggest you start developing that relationship now!
