Ok, I turned in my UC App last night, and I got an email about how to track it. I use my App ID# and for the first time you log in, it says use your email address. Well as usual UC is being retarded and the maximum password is like 12 characters and my email address is longer than that so it gets cut off....and therefore I cannot log into the damn system. How do I get around this?..

Nvm, ignore that. I think it lets me put the full address in but when I do, it says

Let the application process; give it a week or so.

How long did it take to get the email? I turned mine in on the 29th and still haven't received an email saying they got it....

I got the email immediately saying that I sent in the application.

I got the e-mail immediately as well but then again I turned my application in on the first day of the filing period. I got my letter confirmation in mid-November and was able to access the online tracker then.

Oh is the confirmation letter different from the one that you receive immediately after you submit your app?

It was the same thing essentially; it was just a confirmation that my campuses got my application.

Here's what happened last year:

I remember getting a UC (general) response that application has been submitted the same day I submitted (11/28/06). Then the rest of the notices from the individual UC's with your special (for that campus) id no. start coming in -- first one for me was I think about a month later. UCLA doesn't send them out at all. I remember a thread just like this last year right after I applied, because I was hyperventilating too!

Ok I just checked my old email (can't believe I saved this *****). First & second to receive were from UCSC and Irvine on 12/26; third was UCSB on 1/3; Merced on 1/10; Berkeley on 1/17; and Davis on 1/26. Only other place I applied was UCLA which as I said above, didn't send confirmation to anyone.
