I went to the USPS website to see if there was anything being shipped to my address from Malibu, and there was. The shipping date was tomorrow, so I don't know if that means anything, good or bad. Has anyone else tried this?

How did you do that?

teach me how to do that too! ;)

Go on this website and enter in the information. http://webapps.usps.com/expressmailcommitments/landing.jsp
-It will show you if there is anything coming from Malibu to your zip code on that date.

i just checked it out and they just sent it out today (29th). should i feel more confident since its before april 1st?

I don't really know what to make out of it, but it could be a good sign

This won't work!! It only tracks Express mail shipments, and the acceptance letters are not sent out via express mail!!!

Do you know if the rejection letter are sent Express?

No, they are sent regular USPS just like the acceptances. My DD was waitlist for UPenn adn Yale today. It would have been nice to get the Pepperdine acceptance today, since she would choose Pepperdine over both of those schools. I'M HOPING IT'S JUST SLOW MAIL FROM THE WEST COAST!!

If her daughter would choose Pepperdine over UPenn or Yale, then she is very dumb. Those are two of the best schools in the nation, and if she could get in and you could pay for it, she should go over Pepperdine.

Kcalli,

I think the best choice for college is the place where you feel the best fit. At a school like Upenn or Yale, most of students are the super high achievers. That makes for a very different environment than Pepperdine, where you have to be a great student to get in, but not everyone was valedictorian or the top 3% of their class. It makes for a more relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, Pepperdine has both programs that my D is interested in. Oganizational Psychology is not offered at very many schools. While I would have gladly paid for her to go to Yale, she would have definately had to go to grad school immediately following undergrad since they don't have undergrad business at Yale since it's LAS oriented. Hope this explains things, and I hope you and my D will both be in the class of 2011 at Pepperdine Don't forget the accepted student day is 4/14!!
